A full sized bust of Saint John Bosco by renowned sculptor Arthur George Walker. H:46cm W:60cm D:32cm Arthur George Walker (1861 – 1939) was an English sculptor and painter. Among his best-known works are several war memorials and the statue of Florence Nightingale in Waterloo Place, London.

 

John Melchior Bosco (1815-1888) popularly known as Don Bosco was an Italian Roman Catholic priest, educator, and writer of the 19th century. While working in Turin, he dedicated his life to the betterment and education of street children, juvenile delinquents, and other disadvantaged youth. He developed teaching methods based on love rather than punishment, a method that became known as the Salesian Preventive System.
